How to Tie a Scarf: Top Knot
From halter tops to galaxy scarves, the SDN gals can’t get enough of crafty, creative, and innovative ways to use (and reuse) our favorite accessory. That’s why we’re beyond thrilled to bring you our latest series: The Scarves Dot Net DIY Challenge.
We’re head over heels for head scarves this summer, and this top knot masterpiece from Brittni of Paper & Stitch is no exception! Learn how to twist your way to top knot perfection by following the steps below.
Instructions
Step 1: With your hair pulled up into a top bun that is off to one side (this will give the finished look asymmetry and height) fold a rectangle scarf in half on a diagonal to form a long triangle. This is the scarf we used!
Step 2: Place the base of the triangle at the back of your head. Then, take the two longest points of the triangle and bring them around the the front, tying them in a knot on top of your head.
Step 3: Then pull the remaining triangle point from the back of your neck over the top knot.
Step 4: Using the two longest points, tie another knot to secure the remaining point in place.
Step 5: Tuck points 2 and 3 in underneath, and you’re done!
Thanks again to Brittni of Paper & Stitch for creating this brand new head scarf knot!
