DIY Popcorn Bags Wrapped With Scarf Ribbon
From halter tops to galaxy scarves, the SDN gals can’t get enough of crafty, creative, and innovative ways to use (and reuse) our favorite accessory. That’s why we’re beyond thrilled to bring you our latest series: The Scarves Dot Net DIY Challenge.
Today we’ve got a tasty treat: Lexy of The Proper Pinwheel will be showing us how to DIY some popcorn bags. This craft is easy-peasy, and best of all, you can switch up the scarf each time you make these!
During the summer, we have all sorts of little gatherings. I love adding little details to make every get-together seem special. We decided to cut up this adorable red and white scarf and create small ribbons to wrap around little bags of popcorn. These make adorable party favors and are perfect if you are having a nautical-themed party!
Here’s what you’ll need:
- Red-and-white scarf (we used this one)
- Mini brown bags (found at local craft store)
- Fabric scissors
- Popcorn
Step 1: Using your scissors, cut small strips of fabric from the scarf. Make sure to get both colors in the strip when cutting! Cut as many strips of fabric as there are bags.
Step 2: Fill the brown bags with popcorn. Wrap the fabric around each bag and tie in a small bow. Serve and enjoy!
Thanks to Lexy for showing us this yummy DIY!
