Today we’re excited to bring you the DIY scarf necklace from Vickie of Adventures in Fashion. We think it’s pretty safe to say this easy-to-replicate stunner is sure to be one of your most-loved summer accessories!
Hi everybody! I’m Vickie from Adventures in Fashion, and I’m here today to share a fun and easy scarf necklace DIY with you. Let’s get started!
Here’s what you’ll need:
- Scarf (I used this one)
- Medium-sized styrofoam balls
- Thread
- Decorative rings (available at Michaels)
- Scissors
Step 1: Place first ball in the center of the scarf.
Step 2: Wrap the scarf around the ball, taking care to cover it evenly if your scarf is sheer.
Step 3: Twist the ends of the scarf to secure the ball on either side.
Step 4. Cut several 2″ pieces of thread.
Steps 5-6: Tie a piece of thread around the scarf tightly on both sides of the ball, and trim the excess.
Step 7: Add a decorative ring to either side. Continue the process until you have a total of four balls and five rings completed.
Step 8: Tie the scarf around your neck at your desired length and enjoy your new necklace — it’s that easy!
Special thanks to Vickie for sharing this beautiful scarf-made bauble with us!
