The SDN Gals Attend Fashion’s Night Out Indy!
The Scarves Dot Net ladies to get swanky, so we were tickled when the lovely Leslie Bailey at The Indianapolis Star invited us to Indianapolis’ most stylish night, Fashion’s Night Out!
First founded in NYC four years ago, FNO now takes place during Fashion Week in over 500 cities nationwide, showcasing the season’s hottest trends, fashionistas, and products. As part of the festivities, Indy hosted a bundle of stylish soirees on September 6 located all over the city — from the airport to artsy Mass Ave to the Keystone Mall.
The SDN gals got gussied up and headed to the event at Keystone Mall, where we hung out in the VIP Blogger’s Lounge (so fancy, right!?) and noshed on wine and cheese while the models prepared for the fashion show.
We were absolutely in awe of the gorgeous clothing and accessories featured by Saks Fifth Avenue during the show, and although we’re a little biased (hey, we can’t help it ;)), we especially loved the faux fur scarves strutting down the runway. We have our own faux fur scarves hitting the site in October, so keep a look out!
Brocade, boots, furs, tweeds, berry hues, flowy blouses, and black and white pairings were the most popular trends, and we couldn’t help but swoon over the bright red lipstick sported by the models and guests. This fall is certainly about making a luxe statement, and we’re more than up for the challenge. ;)
Following the show, we headed to the other events happening around the mall — we had SO MUCH fun rating fall fashions as “Fabulous or Faux Pas,” chatting with fellow Indy-area bloggers, and of course, shopping about.
Everyone we met at FNO Indy was so warm and welcoming, and we absolutely adored getting to know local fashionistas! We left the evening with swag bags in-hand and a deeper appreciation for all that our small (but mighty!) city has to offer. FNO Indy is proof that you don’t have to be in a super large, stylish city to sport your knowledge and love for fashion loud and proud.
Thank you so much to Saks Fifth Avenue, Pattern Indy, and Leslie for an unforgettable night! We can’t wait for next year!
